Fri-nally!
It’s the weekend again, guys! And much as we are feeling a little blue over the fact that today is July 1st and the rain is lashing down outside, it is still Friday and we are looking forward to a couple of days of complete and utter relaxation. With maybe a few cocktails thrown in, of course…
But before we all switch into weekend mode, do you fancy finding out what we have been obsessing over this week? Here goes:
1. Salt & Soul
If you happen to be living near Strandhill in Co. Sligo, we are feeling a little envious of you right now. And not just because it is a gorgeous part of the country to be living in in general, but now beautiful new yoga and wellness studio Salt & Soul have recently opened their doors, and we are already planning a weekend to Sligo in search of some serious zen.
2. Cocktails from Farrier and Draper
If you have yet to visit the latest addition to Dublin’s bar landscape, you have some serious catching up to do. Our Katie Mythen (the queen of all things cool) have practically moved in at this stage, and has enticed the entire office with snaps of gorgeous chandeliers, roaring fireplaces and, crucially, the most amazing cocktails you have ever seen.
Not that we are biased or anything, but the Real Italian, made with gin, strawberry, basil, balsamic, pink peppercorn and soda, is actually to die for.
3. You Must Bring A Hat
Our friends over at Children’s Books Ireland keep pointing us to all the best reads for kids with their Instagram snaps. This week we are dying to read this cute book by Simon Philip, where the first-person narrator is invited to a hat party but doesn’t have a hat! What is he going to do!? Well, we can’t wait to find out!
4. Pineapple Espadrille
Frankly, we are a little obsessed with anything pineapple these days, so no wonder then that these little bargain beauties (€17!) from Penneys caught our eye.
5. Lancome Grandiose Liner
If you have ever struggled with getting that perfect cat eye flick when you are applying your eyeliner, you are going to LOVE this new liner from Lancome. The Grandiose Liner has a movable wand and the brains behind it claim the 35-degree angle is optimal for agility when creating graphic lines.
We have tried it and once on, this liner doesn’t budge or smudge in the slightest, and is touch-proof within seconds on applying – all in all a new must in our makeup bags!
