We bet you – like us – are feeling pretty happy the weekend has rolled around again. Here’s to a couple of days of just chilling with the family, soaking up the summer and indulging in a delicious brunch or two…
And as for what we will be cooking, wearing and lusting over in general these next couple of days; here goes:
1. Eat Beautiful
When this book landed on our desk this week we were doubly excited. Not only is the rose coloured book (with gold letters!) the most perfect coffee table book we have ever clapped eyes on (and one we can’t wait to display), but the recipes (and beauty advice) by makeup-artist-to-the-stars Wendy Rowe are specifically designed to feed your skin with the nutrients it needs to glow.
If you need us, we are in the kitchen!
2. Island Flavour Spice Blends
We are all about anything that can keep dinners both easy to throw together and interesting. Which is why we just had to try these (made-in-Ireland!) Island Flavour spice blends from Spice Devils. With three different blends to choose from, get ready for your weeknight dinners to take on a tropical (and oh-so-delicious) twist!
We love how the packets all have a simple recipe on the reverse of the sleeve (and most things required are easily available from mainstream shops or may even already be in your pantry).
3. Slogan Sweatshirt from Penneys
You can’t beat a slogan sweatshirt we say, and are running off to Penneys to get our hands on this little beauty. Oh, and did we mention it is only €8?!
4. Stokke Steps Seating System
Leading Norwegian baby brand Stokke (famous for their iconic Tripp Trapp high chairs and city-friendly buggy) have, together with the design team from Permafrost, created a brand-new children’s seating system that we bet will soon be on every trendy parents’ want list.
Named Stokke Steps, the new seating system consists of a baby bouncer that forms an infant recliner when attached to the chair; a toddler module that creates a safe and functional highchair; and the chair module itself with its versatile and adjustable construction.
Oh, and did we mention that the design was recently honored with the Red Dot: Best of the Best award – the Red Dot only being the world’s largest and most recognized product design competition…
5. Ganni at Arnotts
Last week we were invited to the glorious event that was the Arnotts Autumn/Winter 2016 fashion show. And much as we loved so many of the looks for the season to come (roll on September, chilly mornings and wardrobe updates!), what had our hearts beating the fastest, was the news that come autumn, the iconic Henry Street department store will be stocking one of our very favourite Danish labels, Ganni.
And trust us, mamas, you will love it too. Think gorgeous, easy-to-wear day dresses, the most perfect winter coats, fresh prints and that cool, Scandi vibe we all covet.
