Dunnes Stores customers are being warned about this new update
Many people who do their food shop at Dunnes Stores do so because of the vouchers they receive that get them €10 off for every €50 they spend.
It is what has made the food retail section of their brand so popular in the last few years, particularly with skyrocketing inflation and the cost of living crisis.
While the offer has always excluded clothing, footwear, homewares, café, alcohol, tobacco, medicines, infant milk formula, lottery products, checkout bags, savings stamps, gift vouchers/cards, and mobile top-ups and items purchased for resale, it has been of huge help to those doing their food shop.
However, according to The Irish Times, Dunnes Stores started circulating vouchers that would expire after 10 days as opposed to the previous 14 days over the weekend.
The Irish Times also reported that staff “had been caught unaware by the change“.
No notice of the change could be found on the Dunnes Stores website; Lovin has reached out to the retailer for comment on the changing of the voucher usability period.
