The new dad is in the hot seat, and he is not holding anything back.
A brand new season of Mother with Keelin Moncrieff has officially kicked off, and the first instalment sets the bar high.
In the first episode, sponsored by Dairylea, Keelin welcomes fitness influencer and new dad Rob Lipsett into the Mother studio for a no-holds-barred chat on parenting, protein and privacy.
Rob, who has amassed a huge following on YouTube through his fitness content and lifestyle vlogs, recently stepped into his latest and most challenging role yet – a father. The Dubliner and his wife Linda welcomed their first child, Isabelle, earlier this summer.
Since their daughter’s birth, Rob and Linda have been sharing glimpses of parent life on their socials, but as a brand new season of Mother kicks off, Rob was able to get down to the nitty-gritty of life as a girl dad in conversation with Keelin.
The episode begins with a much-needed life update. Rob, Linda and Isabelle spent the summer in Ireland, but the family plan on returning to their Marbella home – Villa Lipsett – to raise Isabelle. As he gets ready to return to Spain, Rob shares what life in Marbella might look like for Isabelle, and whether he’ll enrol her in a Spanish-speaking school – and if a return to Ireland is on the cards.
Of course, no episode of Mother would be complete without a birth story or two, and Rob was happy to share his own experience of supporting Linda through it all – and how he followed her strict instructions to “not look under the hood”, despite his curiosity.
Almost two months later, Rob is settling into fatherhood nicely. In fact, he is already planning her lunchbox, years in advance. Of course, as a Lipsett, her lunch will have a great source of protein, and will be complete with a delicious and nutritious Dairylea snack.
To hear Rob’s advice for weight-training during pregnancy, how he copes with online hate and how he plans on protecting his daughter’s privacy, check out the latest episode of Mother wherever you listen to podcasts today.
