The day has arrived where ‘much ado’ about your hair is not chic. Poker straight hair is no longer on-trend, and full colour is so over. Goodbye high-maintenance looks – you will not be missed.
Here’s a five-day hair menu, easy to pull together styles with just a few products, oh, and a few minutes (although having a few minutes spare might be the issue!).
1. Tonged and tousled

How-to Grab small sections of hair beginning at the back, twist them and tong them (all in the same direction) with an inch thick curling iron. Hold the curling iron for a few moments to form a tight curl that will last.
No product used.
2. Undone and cool with clip

How-to The hair style will fall out after a night’s sleep, but we want that. Take a shaft of hair from each side of the face. Twist the hair towards the back of the head and spray lightly from the roots to the ends. Secure (as seen below) with pins that match your hair tone. Spray a little on your fingertips and smooth the shaft in place.
Buy Bumble and Bumble volumising spray €29. Box of strong hair clips €9.
3. Braids and a hair straightener

How-to Get up, turn your head upside down and pop in some Braid Aid. Plaits are timeless and super-handy if your hair is on the greasy side. Pull the tufts of hair out all along the length of the braids. Simply smooth over the plait with hair straighteners and you are done. Chic as.
Buy Redken Braid Aid hair spray €24
4. Dry shampoo, oil and a ponytail

How-to Apply two drops of oil on the ends. That way, your four-day-old ends will look hydrated and shiny. Separate the hair at the roots and douse dry shampoo all over. Form a low pony and a high pony (as seen below). Shazam. New hair.
That night Spray more dry shampoo just around the crown of your head.
Buy Aveda moisturising oil, €24. Batiste dry shampoo, €4
5. Top-knot and funky headband

How-to Create a messy top-knot and pop a headband on top. Head-bands exude a relaxed city-chic kind of vibe so choose a summery cotton type in indigo, seafoam or citrus. Make sure the band covers your hairline.
Buy Johnny Loves Rosie headband, €25.
