WATCH: How to NAIL your make-up one-handed while holding a baby

HerFamily

Carefully applying a face full of make-up is all well and good when you’ve got two free hands. Add a hefty infant into the mix however and getting that mascara onto your eyelashes is no easy feat.

That’s why we salute this mom, whose clever how-to (assisted by her adorable side-kick) is racking up the hits on Youtube.

Her top tips:

  1. Have a basket at hand with the essentials for your look. This saves wasting time and prevents baby getting impatient.
  2. Have a toy to distract the baby.
  3. Buy the correct brush to save time in application and blending.
  4. Sing a Disney song… for the entertainment value.
  5. Forget about a fully contoured facade – blush is the priority and peach is a good all-rounder.
  6. Talk all the way through the application so the child grows accustomed to the daily task.
  7. Set everything potentially messy out of reach of the baby!
