There’s a reason everyone’s talking about this supermarket-savvy duo. The promise is big: ‘Visibly erase the damage of 100 blow dries!’ it says. We were dubious, but then we tried it and the result was, frankly, life changing. The formula removes a build-up of mineral impurities to leave hair strong, shiny and frizz-free. This stuff does the work of the pricier hair care brands at a fraction of the cost (no, really: it’s €4!).
Topshop Matte Nail Varnish in ‘Publish’

If a weekly manicure isn’t within your budget, do a quick DIY tidy-up and finish with two coats of this uber trendy matte shade. The perfect neutral, this formula goes the distance where pricier brands falter.

Lush Love & Light Hand Cream

Seriously, just the scent of this unctuous cream will transport you to sun-drenched Portofino. The softening neroli and Fair Trade organic cocoa butter cream will make light work of dry hands, while Brazilian orange and orange blossom brighten up your skin (and your mood). Aveeno Oatmeal Cream

This one isn’t new, per se, but it’s suddenly become trendy again after it was revealed to have a slew of celeb fans (including the face of the brand, Jennifer Aniston). In trials, people with dry or itchy skin were asked to use it once a day for three weeks. A whopping 90 per cent of them said it solved their skin issues completely. Everyone should have a bottle in their arsenal.

Dodgy name aside, this matte lip colour comes in a range of really great nude shades. The lightweight, creamy formula lasts for ages… and all for under a tenner. Three please.
CONSCIOUS Relaxing All-Over Oil

Now that they deliver to Ireland, it’s even easier to snap up the best of the H&M beauty section. We’ve taken a leaf from a beauty editor’s book and stocked up on CONSCIOUS Relaxing All-Over Oil, a hydrating all-purpose oil for bath, body and hair with certified organic jojoba oil, grapeseed oil, rosemary extract and sunflower oil. A moisturising multi-tasker it can be rubbed on neat, added to a bath or applied to dry or frizzy hair.
