The world’s biggest Penneys store opens in December 2018 and we have to admit, we’re a little excited.
Birmingham will be home to the largest Penneys in the world and the store is set to cover a whopping 160,000 sq ft in size.
Get planning now for so you can head for a break with your friends or maybe even bring the kids along because mamas, this is one store you’ll just have to see.
Imagine all the room this new location will have for pretty dresses, beauty bits, stunning shoes, cosy pyjamas, Pinterest-perfect interiors, Disney merchandise and all the bits and pieces we know and love Penneys for.
While we adore shopping in Penneys at home, the thought of browsing the largest store in the world is almost too much to handle.
Having reached out to the retailer, Her received the following statement:
“The new Primark in Birmingham will be the largest in the world, offering an even wider range of our amazing fashion at amazing prices, over five floors.
We have a loyal customer base in Birmingham and are very excited to unveil the new store, which will be almost four times the size of our current city centre store”.
We’re also told that the brand new branch at Birmingham Pavillions will include access to free Wi-Fi and customer “recharge” seating areas which is sure to come as good news to weary shoppers (i.e your other half who protests every time a Penneys trip is mentioned).
It sounds like a dreamy place to work too thanks to a ‘Recharge café’ with a fully equipped kitchen area for staff.
The new store will have 900 employees with 430 people transferring from the current premises, recruitment for new staff is due to take place in August.
We don’t know about you but a pre-Christmas trip to Birmingham might be on the cards…
