Get Crafting! Ten easy and inexpensive gifts kids can make for Christmas

Taryn de Vere

Crafting with kids is lots of fun and at this time of year, it’s good to get them into the spirit of the season by making homemade gifts for loved ones.

We’ve compiled this list of inexpensive and covetable gifts kids of all ages can make, the best part being the fact these options only cost between €1 and €5 to make.

All of these projects have been tried and tested, there’s no awkward-to-source products/ingredients and most of what you need can be bought from the Euro shop, health food shop or supermarket.

Happy Crafting!

These are so cheap and easy but look amazing. Toddlers to teens can make these, though a toddler will need an adult to take over after the art has been done!

If you have leftover tiles you can follow the same instructions as for the coasters but use photos on the tiles instead and gift them as photo art tiles.

Modern Art Plates

Super easy, super inexpensive, super gorgeous! Kids aged 5+ can make these fab plates. Try the same technique on cups and bowls as well. Full instructions available here.

“I Love You” Pillowcases

Who wouldn’t want to sleep on a message of love from a little one? These are sweet, lovely and easy to make. An added bonus is once you have fabric markers in the house you can get the kids to decorate tea-towels for the Grandparents and tote bags for Aunts and Uncles.

Kids aged 4+ can make them, though younger kids could make scribble-cases too.
