Heading to the Foos or Forbidden Fruit? Bring a poncho

Sophie White

Bad news revellers, Met Éireann is quite literally raining on the bank holiday parade.

Rain is forecast to hit the west coast by noon today and will be heading on over to the east of the country by late afternoon pretty much just as Grohl and co hit the stage at Slane Castle.

Apparently the day’s high point temperature-wise will be a whopping 13 degrees with bracing southerly winds. So anyone who was masterminding some Coachella-inspired festival assemble would do well to discard those gladiator sandals and fringed shorts right now. We advise instead channelling your childhood family beach excursions to Barley Cove circa 1986 – oversized sweatshirt, heavily patterned leggings, wellies and a mac.
