Here’s how the Bank Holiday weather is looking

Laura Holland

This might affect your plans.

It’s going to be a good start to the Bank Holiday with the weather staying mainly dry and bright today. According to Met Éireann, there will be some light showers but temperatures will range between 14 and 18 degrees making it a nice and fresh day.

Rain will develop tonight, turning heavy at times along the Atlantic coast but it will remain dry elsewhere.

Saturday will be sunny and bright but rain has been forecasted for most places, with heavy showers also expected. Temperatures will range between 14 and 18 degrees. The showers will die out overnight making way for a dry start on Sunday.

Rain won’t affect the country until Sunday afternoon but it will be widespread and it’s likely to be heavy. Although the rain will clear overnight for some time, it will return to southern regions, particularly in the southwest.

Not much change for Bank Holiday Monday – more rain has been forecasted but it should clear by the evening. Temperatures will range between 13 to 16 degrees.

The rest of the week looks like it will continue with the unsettled weather with showers forecasted from time to time.
