Powerlifting Adrienne Osuna, who is a mum to four boys, has shared some inspiring snaps from her get fit journey.
As mums we can all get preoccupied with losing baby weight and develop an unhealthy obsession with the bathroom scales, but this inspiring mum-of-four has reminded us that weight is just a number.
Adrienne Osuna, a powerlifter and fitness blogger says that she started lifting because she was ‘so over’ yo-yo dieting,
“I lost 60 pounds then I quit dieting [I was] always gaining and losing weight and yo-yo dieting and I was so over it.
I started heavy lifting and fell in love. Within a year or so if that I was down three dress sizes and the scale still hadn’t moved. But everyone kept telling me how I looked so good and asking how much I lost which was really encouraging!”
Adrienne recently took to Instagram to share some inspiring before and after photos showing that the scales mean nothing when it comes to looking good,
“Yes two pounds. Lost fat gained muscle!”

The student nurse says she’s proof that the scales are not the ultimate factor in success,
“I was tired of dieting and obsessing over the scale. I started to lift heavy things. I stopped yo-yo dieting, and then added intermittent fasting. I am not done yet. I am not perfect. This is just what I did and I am happy to share it with you all.”
