You’ve probably been stuck indoors with the kids all weekend watching the rain and if you’ve been out and about today, you’ll know that the weather is still pretty terrible.
Unfortunately, it’s not going to get any better as the day progresses and there is a status yellow wind warning in place.
The areas that will be most affected include Clare, Donegal, Galway, Kerry, Mayo and Sligo. The weather warning is in place until midnight.
The forecaster predicts strong to gale force southwest winds of average speeds up to 65km/h. Gusts up to 100km/h are expected in western and northwestern coastal counties.
Generally, it will be wet and windy with heavy downpours across the country. Highest temperatures will be around 15 degree Celsius.
Tomorrow will still be blustery and wet however it will be a little milder with highest temperatures between 15 and 17 degrees Celsius.
As the week progresses, temperatures are set to drop so don’t forget to wrap up the little ones… and yourself.
