If you haven’t yet heard of the Lulla Doll, you are about to.
Designed and manufactured by three Icelandic mums, the innovative ‘sleep doll’ re-creates all the comforting sounds and feelings of a caregiver to a child.
The Lulla doll is super-soft to the touch, has a heartbeat and breathes like a human – and it’s look is designed to be both gender and race-neutral in order to appeal to children of all nationalities.
Having spent three years in the research and design phase of the doll, the creators then went on to launch a crowd funding campaign in order to get the first 5,000 dolls onto the market.
Demand completely exceeded all expectations and the Lulla Doll is currently sold out.
While the creative team of super Icelandic mums go into production for the second time, desperate parents worldwide are in a frenzied bidding war on eBay for the coveted items.
Normally retailing at $99, some dolls are currently for sale on the website for $200-300!
