A two-week-old baby has died after suffering a “bite” from a family dog.
Police in Cleveland, Ohio say the newborn was bitten on Friday evening around 7pm.
The infant was then brought to hospital where they passed away soon after.
AP reports that the Cleveland police homicide unit is investigating the death.
This unit investigates many deaths involving infants and young children in the area.
The baby’s name, or the name of the family, have not yet been released to the public.
