The weekend was a washout for many with heavy showers sweeping across most parts of the country, but it looks like summer will arrive this week.
According to Met Éireann, this week will be lovely weather-wise and it could even last until the weekend (how amazing would that be?).
Today will be mainly dry with sunny spells and scattered showers affecting Ulster and east Leinster. Highest temperatures will be around 12 to 15 degrees Celsius.
Tonight will turn cold with lowest temperatures around 5 degrees Celsius but tomorrow will see the return of dry and sunny conditions.
As for the outlook for the rest of the week, it’s looking bright with sunshine and patchy rain in places.
Thursday looks to be the most temperamental day of the week with some showers forecast and temperatures hovering around the mid-teens.
But the warm weather is expected to remain until Friday and over the weekend with temperatures in the high teens during the day. However, the forecaster has predicted some rain which could turn thundery.
Of course, by the time we get to the end of the week, this could all have changed. In other words, enjoy it while it’s here!
