If you keep hoping spring is just around the corner, this week’s forecast will test your patience a little as forecaster promise a freezing few days ahead.
According to Met Éireann, temperatures across the country will drop even further tonight, some places as low as minus four degrees, and the cold, wintry weather will be with us until the end of the weekend at least.
In most parts we are set for a bright and sunny day today, albeit with some rain or hail showers around the coasts, while tomorrow is set to be the coldest day of the week.
Forecasters warn of sleet affecting some areas in the Atlantic coastal counties on Thursday, and Friday – election day – will see another cold and showery day, with highs of just 3 to 7 degrees.
So wrap up when you are heading out to vote, guys!
