“So much judgement on here”
Sports presenter Michelle Owen has been accused of putting her son on a leash.
The mum shared a photo from a family trip to the beach, which was met with criticism from people who failed to look at the image properly.
In the snap, the mum is smiling alongside her dog and her son. The family’s pet is on a leash, but her son is standing next to a colourful ribbon.
However, many people failed to realise it was a ribbon and criticised the mum for having her son “on a lead”.
One wrote, “Child on a lead, really?”

Another said: “It’s awesome you treat your dog as well as your son… really a leash? horrible parenting.”
In response to the backlash, she wrote: “My non-furry son is not on a leash. But so what if he was? Sometimes people do put toddlers on a harness as they literally runoff. So much judgement on here, without even properly looking too.”
The ITV Sports reporter’s followers agreed that using reigns when visiting somewhere like the beach is something a lot of parents do.

“My son ran anywhere and everywhere from the moment, he could walk. His nickname was Gump because he just ran and ran! Reins the only thing that would slow him down,” one mum shared.
Another said: “When our now 12yr old was 2, he ran from us while out walking and was knocked down, broke his femur, was in traction for 2 weeks and a half body cast for 2 months until he grew strong enough to break the cast and the doc took it off. It was nearly a costly lesson to learn.”
I think we can all agree that passing remarks on someone’s parenting just isn’t welcome anymore. It’s 2021, leave the judgment behind.
