Well, that went by quickly.
We haven’t seen much of The Duchess of Sussex since she started her official maternity leave back in March.
And since the arrival of little Archie Harrison Mountbatton-Windsor back in May, the Duchess has kept out of the public eye for most part, only appearing on a handful of occasions over the summer, such as her Wimbledon outing with her sister in law, Kate, and with baby Archie in tow at some family outings.
But her break from official duties is about to change, as her maternity leave is due to come to an end next week. And as is part of the job, the new mum will be back officially attending royal functions once more.
The Duchess hasn’t been able to keep completely away from mixing motherhood with a little bit of work, of course, as she famously guest-edited the September issue of Vogue, and has been working on a clothing collection for charity Smart Works.
Kickstarting her life as a working mum, Meghan will be launching her capsule workwear collection at a public appearance in London this coming Thursday, the proceeds of which will go towards helping her chosen patronage charity Smart Works.
It is expected that the 38-year-old will make a speech, and she will also be attending a panel discussion alongside Smart Works for the launch, where she’ll be learning more about what the charity offers women who are heading back into the workforce.
So there you have it – it’s back to work for this royal mama, and we for one can’t wait to see Meghan back in the swing of things, especially as she prepares to head to Africa next month, on their first official international tour as a family of three!
