Survey Reveals The Secrets To a Satisfied Sex Life

HerFamily

It can be hard to keep things exciting in the bedroom, especially when you’ve been together for years and have two or three kids to run around after every day.

Well, a survey has done half of the work for you by revealing the secrets to a satisfied sex life.

Researchers at Chapman University reportedly looked at sexual satisfaction among almost 40,000 people in long-term relationships (that’s three years and over). The study was published in The Journal of Sex Research.

It was found that foreplay, intimacy and communication were key.

Those who were more sexually satisfied had more oral sex, orgasmed regularly and tried out new positions.

They also took the time to set the mood and communicated more than dissatisfied couples, telling their significant other that they loved them and talking about their desires.

But it wasn’t all about the deed itself, those who were happier with their sex lives also cuddled more and laughed together between the sheets.

Speaking about the findings, co-author of the study Dr Janet Lever said: “It was encouraging to learn that more than one-third of couples kept passion alive, even after a decade or two together.

“That won’t happen on auto pilot; these couples made a conscious effort to ward off routinisation of sex.”

So there you have it, all you need to do now is try to arrange some alone time for you and your partner. To help, here are the 10 rules of parent sex.
